West Side Middle School is a Grade Six through Eight Middle School facility. It is a caring place where all feel accepted and have the opportunity to reach their individual potential through the commitment and support of community, faculty and staff. West Side Middle School truly exemplifies the middle school concept. Students take classes with a team of teachers who get to know them quite well both academically and extra-curricularly. Students have opportunities for learning piano keyboarding, may start formal band and choir in sixth grade, and have opportunities for drama and athletics. It provides a safe environment for students and staff where all students can develop their total self through challenging, guided exploration. It provides an environment based on tolerance, flexibility, responsibility and commitment from all parties involved in the learning process to enable students to become a positive influence in society.
